Just when we thought that life had quietened down, fate has a habit of providing a running fat slap across the jowls. E-Tolling is on the cards again.
The Constitutional Court today decided that the interim interdict granted to delay e-tolling was flawed and set it aside. Informed opinion is that e-tolling could be implemented as soon as November.
How are folk expected to cope, petrol at nearly R12 a litre and going up we are told by about 30c per litre in October. Food price inflation at a high. Now E-Tolls will add a further turn to the screw.
But do not fear, COSATU will be announcing a programme of rolling mass action at their conference this afternoon.
I wait with baited breath.
